Hungarian Language Solutions was set up in 2009 by Renata Forgacs, an English-Hungarian freelance translator. A British-Hungarian dual citizen, Renata has been living in the UK since 2004 and has been providing high quality translations from English into her native Hungarian and Hungarian lessons since 2006.
Renata has a BSc in Economics from Budapest Business School, Hungary and attended City University’s ‘Translation Theory’ course in London.
In 2011 she was lucky enough to have been awarded an EU-grant which allowed her to travel to Munich, Germany, and attend a course on intercultural communication.
From 2012 – 2013 she attended City&Guild’s PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) course and deepened her understanding of the theoretical and practical framework of teaching in the lifelong learning sector.
Julia Takacs has been a language instructor for over 25 years. She gained her teaching degree in 1998 at Juhász Gyula Teacher Training College, Szeged, Hungary. At present she is studying for Master degrees in the Science of Education and in English.
Julia is a native English speaker and fully bilingual (her English coming from her mum and her Hungarian coming from her dad), and has been living in Hungary since 1981. She is married with four grown-up children.
